A Beginners Guide To Buying A Hot Tub

By : Ashley Carew    99 or more times read
When it comes to choosing a hot tub, many people don’t know where to start. This article outlines some of the questions that need to be addressed in the decision making process.
• Deciding what size and style of Hot Tub that suits you best.
When it comes to choosing a Hot Tub, shape, size and style are possibly the most important factors to consider. The overall size of the spa not only relies on what room you have available to set it up but also how many people you wish to accommodate in the tub and what level of comfort you desire.
Hot Tubs come in all different shapes, sizes and styles. Will it be an indoor or outdoor spa? Is there a preference for it to be a permanent structure or will a portable spa be adequate for your needs?
• Choosing a reputable and well known Manufacturer.
The Hot tub market has many manufacturers and these are best researched by reading about a range of products before purchasing. A good tip is to look for Industry award winners and reading customer reviews so you can judge the reputation of the manufacturer.
• Hot Tub Construction
When choosing a hot tub for the outdoors make sure it has adequate insulation for maximum heat retention as this will ensure minimum running costs. Take care also to choose construction materials that are highly durable and maintenance free, especially if choosing an outdoor spa that will have to with stand the elements all year round.
• Consider Luxury Add ons.
Always think of additional features before purchase. Adding features such as waterfalls and fountains, or lighting and entertainment systems, can bring the extra luxury or romance. If fragrance is your thing then consider an Air Blower which adds beautiful perfume to the air bubbles in the tub, leading to a therapeutic aromatherapy session.
• Don’t be afraid of having a test dip!
Spa and Hot Tub dealerships always welcome a test run of the product, maybe not always wet, but the minimum you should try is a dry seated run. No point buying the product if it doesn’t fit with your body shape!
