A new class of tanning beds, known as high pressure tanning beds, has been developed that enables users to get a dark tan in a short period of time. These beds deliver much better results and are a lot safer than their low pressure counterparts.
The high pressure tanning beds are so named due to the sort of lamps that come with it. Made from quartz, these lamps measure about 2 inches in length with a high wattage of a thousand. These are fixed behind forceful glass filters which allow only express rays of predetermined wave lengths to pass through. Also, the pressure of the gases which inhabit the space inside the quartz lamp is at a far higher level then in the ordinary atmosphere which is why the beds are called 'high pressure.'
The safety features of this new bed are quite revolutionary in its own way. The filters present prevent the majority of the harmful ultraviolet ray B from passing through while ensuring that the amount that does pass in adequate for melanocytes (skin cells) stimulation. The ultraviolet A light which hits the skin melanin is therefore, much safer and offers a good tan with a significantly reduced chances of skinissues. Alternatively, the low pressure tanning beds are unable to filter the rays in quite the same manner and allow a greater percentage of ultraviolet B rays to pass (between 4-6%), thereby, increasing the chances of possible damage to the skin.
Yet another positive facet of these tanning beds is the time they need to give you a good tan. With high pressure tanning beds, three to five tanning sessions are enough for you to get a powerful good base tan. Since these beds do not permit the ultraviolet B rays to reach your skin, the negative results of tanning are reduced to a great degree. As a consequence your skin retains the moisture and holds the tan for a much longer time. These tanning beds provide a tan that requires less maintenance. The tan got by these tanning beds can be maintained by 2 - 3 tanning sessions a month.
With high pressure tanning beds, you get to save both your cash and time. You only need a small amount to get a base tan with these tanning beds. You also save in terms of the upkeep cost of the tan that's got through these tanning beds. However, the best part about these tanning beds is that they give you a far deeper and authentic tan.
On the whole, these types of tanning beds offer a safe and cost-effective means to tan and look good. They are quite possibly the future of the tanning industry.
