Biltmore Who's Who Selects David J. Clark as this week's Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry for 2009.
David J. Clark, manager for Wal-Mart Stores in Durham, North Carolina, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes David J. Clark's commitment to excellence in the retail industry.
David J. Clark has been working for Wal-Mart for the past 14 years, beginning in 1995when he was 16 years old. He was later promoted to a manager position in 2003, where he began to dedicate more of his time and efforts to team leadership. Helping to run a multi-million dollar business is no easy task, therefore good budgeting skills, properly staffing the store and working the sales floor are extremely important. According to Clark, the most important part of his day is teaching and training assistant managers. Being fortunate enough to work for some really good store managers and assistant managers has given him the experience he needs to climb the ladder and move up in the company. He also said that working with people on a "large scale" and getting to meet new people everyday truly inspires him to be successful.
Mr. Clark hopes to run his own store in the next few years, hoping that all the training and time he has put into the business will soon pay off. "There are no limits with my company. It seems like the more I learn and grow with Wal-Mart, the more I want to do," he said.
Mr. Clark was awarded with an Assistant Manager of the Month Award for his district in December, 2004 and has been written up numerous times in Wal-Mart World for his successes. In his spare time, David attends his local church and enjoys golf, basketball, jogging and exercising.
